I picked up this book for two reasons. 1) I truly enjoyed meeting the author and getting to know her. 2) I liked the premise of the book. That being said, the author lost me a couple of times because Kate kept getting stuck on her age. I understand the dilemma, but it was a bit much. I loved Mason. He makes a great "book boyfriend" and the words from him flowed. At times the book read a bit like a manual, but in the end it all came together very nicely. Especially the end, it was important to know the "manual" parts for you to really get a kick out of the end. As a woman, I understand the difficulties that are placed on us to be "the perfect specimen" for the man in our lives. Whether we are just friends or we are lovers with that guy, we always want to be more. The author really tackles this issue in the story, and makes all of our dreams come true. When Kate finds the embrace of the rope everything she's ever needed, well that just makes me smile. Freedom comes in all forms, and the author has shown it.

What made this story work for me was the pacing and the foundation of friendship between the hero and heroine. They didn't automatically fall into lust and then the sheets. The reader wasn't privy to what went on during their one month blossoming friendship, however once the story picked up again, the atmosphere was noticeably more charged. Mere attraction had given way to something else.

Mason was all about confidence, tenacity and he certainly didn't know the meaning of giving up. Where Kate was concerned, that was not an option. I loved his portrayal in this story. Aside from the more superficial attributes (young, successful, good-looking), he was quite worldly for his age. An old soul in a young body. The way he approached Kate and tried to make her see what he saw in her was handled believably and made him that much more appealing with each turn of the page. When they finally came together, it was perfect.

That being said, I found myself just a little annoyed with Kate. Her insecurities led her to mention or think about her physical flaws more often than I wanted to hear. Everything from the twelve year age difference to her shapewear and her weight. No matter what the hero said or did, it wasn't enough to convince her. Kate was definitely in stark contrast to his last relationship with an older woman. I can get behind her hesitation but not behind what sounded like she was fishing for compliments or assurance. For me personally, I would have liked her to have come to some realizations on her own, and not because someone was telling her her worth.

I may not have liked all aspects of the heroine's character arc, but on the whole, I think this was my favorite SRE story. The age difference was probably the biggest draw for me. It's refreshing not having to read about perky twenty-somethings. No matter our age, we all have many of the same hangups. The author always does a great job of telling a whole story even in a condensed format. I recommend this series to anyone who wants to read a BDSM story that is kinky enough to still be romantic, steamy and won't make the reader squeamish. Ms Bunino hits the perfect balance.

Each book can be read as a stand alone, but it's more enjoyable when read in order so you know who the characters are when they make cameos. This book contains M/F sex, bondage, older heroine/younger hero.

Once again, this author does not disappoint. This installment of the Satin Rose Experience explores the ancient and beautiful art of Shibari. The story is romantic, sensual, and tinged with a burning sexual desire. The reader shares Kate's transformation from BDSM newbie to empowered submissive, led on her journey by the achingly sexy Dom, Mason.

I adore Kate's character in this story. She's sassy and successful, and despite her insecure misgivings about her body, has an air of confidence about her. Even when Mason pegs her submissive tendencies, she refuses to give in right away. Her reluctance to experiment in BDSM gives the story a lovely, slow burn. The attraction between Kate and Mason is evident, strengthening throughout the course of the story, until the outcome becomes clear all or nothing.

The result of all the build-up is a beautifully sensual BDSM sex scene, focusing on bondage, Shibari in particular. The author artfully portrays the visual and sensual beauty of the bondage, as well as the intense emotions and sexual chemistry of the characters. It's an amazingly hot sex scene, especially for one that doesn't involve a lot of actual "sex".

TIE ME FREE is a novella, perfect for a single, sexy sitting. The fourth book in the series, it certainly lived up to the other stories I have enjoyed so much, and I'm always looking forward to the next book in this series. I leave you, dear reader, with a little tidbit from this story that brought tears to my eyes

I love the title of this book and it's a beautiful description of the story as well. It all starts with Kate needing Mason's help, but she has no idea what she has set in motion. I felt the cosmic pull throughout the story. Mason is the right man in the right place, for sure.

His approach and patients are tailor-made for what Kate needs, because she certainly won't admit to what she wants. I felt her desire to give in and it kept me turning the pages. Their first kiss is really something special.

Sandra Bunino has crafted a tantalizing tale. She showed respect not only for Shibari, but also to BDSM and highlighted one of the beautiful aspects. The lifestyle means different things to different people.

Another great read. She's definitely staying on my auto buy list. I highly recommend Tie Me Free.
